Consider approval of the minutes of the November 5, 2020, Planning and Zoning Commission meeting.

Public Hearing Items

1.

Hold a public hearing and discuss and consider approval of an Ordinance rezoning 349.09 acres of land from Agricultural District to a Planned Development District with a mix of residential and non-residential uses. The property includes 246.38 acres located southeast of Forney High School and south of F.M. 741 and 102.71 acres located east of F.M. 741 and Lakemont Drive.

2.

Hold a public hearing and discuss and consider approval of an Ordinance amending the City of Forney Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance by amending the tree preservation requirements.

3.

Hold a public hearing and discuss and consider approval of an Ordinance amending the Wellington Ridge Planned Development (Ordinance 20-32) by amending the development standards, including tree preservation requirements.

4.

Hold a public hearing and discuss and consider approval of an Ordinance amending the Forney Marketplace Planned Development (Ordinance 11-15) by amending the development standards and concept plan.

5.

Hold a public hearing and discuss and consider approval of an Ordinance rezoning 44.918 acres of land from Agricultural District to Planned Development District with a base zoning of Light Industrial. The property is located east of S. Gateway Boulevard and south of Akron Way.

Action Items

1.

Discuss and consider approval of the HSW Addition Preliminary Plat. The property is located east of S. Gateway Boulevard and south of Akron Way.

2.

Discuss and consider approval of the HSW Addition Site Plan. The property is located east of S. Gateway Boulevard and south of Akron Way.

3.

Discuss and consider approval of the Forney Industrial preliminary plat, consisting of 137.788 acres located south of U.S. Highway Highway 80 and Clements Drive.

4.

Discuss and consider approval of the Wellington Ridge site plan, consisting of 119.69 acres located south of U.S. Highway 80 and Clements Drive.

5.

Discuss and consider approval of a preliminary plat for Forney Marketplace Addition, Block 1, Lots 2,3,4,5, 7 & 8 located northwest of the intersection of East U.S. Highway 80 and Marketplace Boulevard.

6.

Discuss and consider approval of a site plan for Legendary Electric, located on East Main Street between South Center Street and South Chestnut Street.

7.

Discuss and consider approval of the Oak Creek Preliminary Plat.

8.

Discuss and consider approval of a preliminary plat for the Pinnacle Montessori - Heartland, located northeast of the F.M. 741 and Interstate Highway 20 intersection in the City of Forney extra-territorial jurisdiction.

9.

Discuss and consider approval of a final plat for the Honey Creek Road Addition.

10.

Discuss and consider approval of a site plan for the Forney High School Baseball/Softball Complex, located at Forney High School.

Hold executive session under Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code

Pursuant to the Open Meetings Act, Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, Sections 551.071, 551.072, 551.073, 551.074, 551.076 and 551.087.  Executive Session may be held, under these exceptions, at the end of the Regular Meeting or at any time during the meeting that a need arises for the Commission to seek advice from the City Attorney’s Office as to the posted subject matter of this meeting.
