VII.1 Hold a public hearing on the proposed budget for fiscal year 2024-2025 and take any action necessary. This budget will raise more total property taxes than last year’s budget by $4,344,822 or 35.91%, and 24.14% of that amount is tax revenue to be raised from new property added to the tax roll this year. (Staff has no recommendation on the item.)

VIII.1. Discuss and consider approval of an Ordinance adopting the annual budget for Fiscal Year 2024-2025. (Staff recommends approval of the item.)

VIII.2. Discuss and consider action on an Ordinance to ratify the Property Tax Revenue Increase in the Fiscal Year 2024-2025 Budget as a result of the City receiving more revenues from property taxes than the previous fiscal year. (Staff recommends approval of the item.)

VIII.3. Discuss and consider approval of an Ordinance levying ad valorem taxes for Fiscal Year 2024-2025 and take any action necessary. (Staff recommends approval of the item.)

VIII.4. Discuss and consider approval of an Ordinance amending the Code of Ordinances by amending the Master Fee Schedule to reflect changes to certain fees and miscellaneous permits.(Staff recommends approval of the item.)

Discuss and consider a Resolution approving an Interlocal Agreement Between Kaufman County Emergency Services District No. 6 and the City of Forney, Texas for Fire Protection and Emergency Medical Services outside within the boundaries of the District. VIII.9. Consider a Resolution approving four Security Agreements for Postponement of Public Infrastructure Improvements with the Village at Gateway Partners, LP, and permitted partners for the development at Village of Gateway. (Staff recommends approval of the item.)
